Who doesnt like chocolate cake?! I have always considered chocolate an essential food group. 🙂 As it turns out cacao is actually good for you! This whole chocolate mug cake is full of healthy ingredients and protein but hey don’t tell your family that. Just tell your kids they can have chocolate cake for lunch and see if they say no. 🙂 This will keep them full and happy until dinner time!Â
Like a lava cake in the middle, this WW friendly chocolate mug cake has only 3 points and over 12 grams of protein. So enjoy without guilt if you are working towards weight loss goals and even if you aren’t, this little cake is ready within 15 minutes. You can top it however you like, so if you are not on a weight loss program, go ahead and add more filling like peanut butter or jam in the middle and on top, this would be awesome with a bunch of whipped cream. 🙂 I used just a dollop of vanilla yogurt.Â
Enjoy the video instruction! I would love to hear how you fix up your mug cake!Â

1 egg
1 TBSP cocoa powder unsweetened
1 tsp maple syrupÂ
1//4 tsp vanilla extract

Combine all ingredients except peanut butter and vanilla yogurt in a mug or micrawaye safe bowl. Cook on high for one minute. Add peanut butter in the middle of the cake and return to microwave for 45 seconds. Remove from microwave and let sit for 1 minute, then carefully use a knife to loosen from the edges and either top with your yogurt or whipped topping or place on a plate first then add your toppings and enjoy.Â
Note; you can add chocolate chips or nuts etc to your cake, but if you are on the WW program, be sure to add the extra points. I would love your feedback!Â
